Russia and Global Geopolitical Deliverance

Introduction

Given the approaching end of the NATO-Russia conflict in Ukraine, space is available to re-explore the place and role of Russia in global geopolitics from the unique perspective of spirituality. This limited treatment draw insights from both non-mainstream sources and non-conventional intellectual resources. These aren't available in formal learning spaces. The first task is to place Russia in historical context and delineate the significance of her religious spirituality. Second, through religious spirituality and Christian prophecy her position under USSR is illuminated and thirdly her post-USSR re-emergence as a global power and its implications in the post-USSR era to the present are discerned.

Why Russia?

The answer to the above question lie in both history and peoples’ fidelity in specific territories to unique but dynamic intergenerational lived experiences. The origin of modern Russia (given boundary dynamics) is traced to the initiation (baptism) of Prince Vladimir in 988 to become a follower of Jesus Christ. At the time and prior to 1648 (Treaty of Westphalia = cuius regio, cuius religio), the peoples under his rule imitated him in becoming followers of Christ.[1]

From then on through the flotsam and jetsam of history till 1917, Moscow developed and refined a unique identity steeped in (Orthodox) Christianity without totally excluding adherents of other religions. For more than a millennia, Russia’s experience deeply refreshed in religious spirituality from Orthodox Christianity with limited ecclesiological and liturgical changes. A different coherent and consistent worldview emerged and consolidated which defined Russia by religion and thus comparatively was and is a religious society.   

Under the Czar (Caesar) her interior, politics, policies, sovereign interests, institutions, and territory evolved from domestic and indigenous structures, and interactions with multiple players from Europe and Asia. Moscow is one of the few geopolitical entities with unbroken diplomatic and geopolitical initiative for 1000+ years. The other 2 are Vatican City and China. Its first prime minister, Sergei Witte, noted presciently that Russia’s stability is only possible with excellent relations with China. Relationship with Europe lately anchored on Germany struggled with suspicion, contests and conflicts. The main point is Moscow’s refusal to kowtow to the interlocking global elite.

Then 1917

By the middle of world war 1 in 1917 Russia had already lost nearly 2 million soldiers in a conflict she joined in 1914 obscure of its signatories and consequences. As stated earlier it is the most religious Christian country ruled by a monarch, and the largest country in the world. To understand more, a brief entrée on the correlation of anti-Christian rulership and money. From the 16^th century, European monarchies were removed or demoted in the name of revolutions, rationalism and constitutionalism. These reversals were overseen by the global elite, including private persons who took the reigns of each country by stealth and high finance. This powerful international group is anti-God, anti-Christian and totally committed to profit via interest by any means necessary. These are the principles of atheistic communism. It is unconstrained by time, geography and method. Curiously, the Catholic Church leadership identified this scourge in her public documents from the 19^th century.

The global elite operate shrewdly with the sole objective of full-spectrum dominance by controlling each country’s finance i.e. the central bank. They plan, impose and execute all wars for profit. No war since the 16th century is an accident. Their goal is to earn profit from nothing by creating money through interest (usury) devoid of real economy i.e. financialization without production. The trend started with Bank of England in 1694 to control the kingdom/empire’s wealth for total control of the world, one country at a time. Even today, their priority in every country is the central bank irrespective of the political system.  

Now for the largest rich country (possessing enormous natural resources) with solid religious spirituality under a Christian king, the global elite had her plans ready for Russia. This design for global dominance based on atheistic communism was thoroughly mapped in advance by heaven hence the apparition of the Mary Mother of God in Fatima Portugal (May – Oct) 1917. This is the one of few prophecies where countries are mentioned by name, in this case Russia and Portugal. In one of her prophecies, she warned the Pope with Catholic bishops to consecrate Russia to Herself for world peace as demanded by God. If there is non-compliance, the world will be punished by God because “Russia will spread her errors”.  The “errors” is atheistic communism. The issue is that this error didn’t originate in Russia rather in Europe with 16^th century renaissance whose principals overthrew tradition, Christianity and religious spirituality.

What are these “errors”? Denial of God/Mystery/Spirit/religion in private/public, deification of humankind, desecration of life (abortion, euthanasia), state supremacy, no independent thought, removal of ethics/morality, destruction of marriage, evisceration of family/community, banishment of traditions/civilisations, destruction of indigenous peoples, elimination of gender difference,  control  of national wealth, domination/control of peoples, imposition of profit etc.

Of course, non-compliance of the Pope and Catholic bishops segued communist forces on Moscow while world war 2 ensued in 1938 as prophesied by Mary Mother of God. Bolshevik communism was financed from the United States for the aim of plundering the wealth and riches of Russia. Global elite as bankers transferred tranches of funds to Moscow Bolsheviks through their banks and sponsored Trotsky from New York and Lenin from Zurich. The funding didn’t stop until Bolsheviks stabilised under Stalin.

Simply put, the peoples in the USSR and Warsaw Pact countries including Russians were the primary 70+ years victims of the world's most bloody revolution. All for profit! In 1991 when USSR collapsed, the same global elite went for Russia's jugular veins to gobble up national wealth while the harshest austerity measure humiliated and killed millions under President Boris Yeltsin. When President Vladimir Putin mastered Kremlin and started defying the global elite, the old plan was refreshed for re-implementation.

Global Good After Ukraine

To appreciate the current conflict in Ukraine, a geopolitical principle must be grasped. Western great powers (underwritten by the global elite) aspire to full-spectrum global dominance of every country's wealth. Opposition isn’t tolerated. [To mention a few, why was Iran’s Mossadegh removed in 1953, Congolese Lumumba destroyed in 1961, Australia's Gotham Whitlam replaced in 1975 or Libya's Ghaddafi killed in 2011?] In 2022 there were less than 10 truly independent countries including Syria, Cuba, Belarus, Yemen, Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, China and Russia. Libya fell earlier in 2011 while Damascus switched in 2024.

So Russia’s position must be viewed in this context of defiance against “freedom”, “free market” and “democracy”. Her combined size, resources and worldview transformed war plans by the global elite to 2 European invasions in the last 200 years. Napoleon charged from France and was stopped by winter after the 1812 Battle of Borodino. Russia marched on Paris in 1814 and saved Europe. Hitler (funded by the global elite) sent his generals east in Operation Barbarossa in 1941. Field Marshal Paulus was stopped in 1943 by winter in Stalingrad. Russia marched on Berlin in 1945 and saved Europe again with a loss of 27+ million. Why was each attack stopped by winter? Is it God’s hand on Russia?

Bear in mind that in the same 1917 apparition precisely is a prophecy that clarified Russia’s role in healing the world. So attending to the present in this light of spirituality is helpful. In February 2022 Russia launched a pre-emptive offensive on NATO in Ukraine. After 3 years NATO is militarily defeated with final surrender looming inevitably before Q2 2026. United States and her allies invested huge resources in this conflict anticipating huge profit. Europe bear most of the costs and losses. This is the verdict of Russia’s combined arms superiority and holistic resource mobilisation for military initiative according to correlation of forces and means principle (COFM). Her geoeconomic escape from the global elite is evident. For the majority of Ukrainians less than 8 hours of electricity per day is intolerable.  They never counted for the global elite.

In parallel something else is emerging slowly on the global chessboard. Call it global fiscal/monetary liberation from the Washington consensus (World Bank, WTO and IMF). Apart from the unravelling of United States military capability in its first peer-to-peer confrontation, global geoeconomic space is warming up. Dollar supremacy as the primary international currency and its global trade share are receding rapidly in response to its weaponised feature. Many countries have developed independent payment systems which bypass dollar-based SWIFT system while global trade settlements in national currencies is picking up.

Through military ascendance sadly, Russia became the driver and an enabler of multiple global geopolitical decision-making centres i.e. BRICS. While the full ramifications is still fuzzy, European/North American dominance of global politics, economy and culture has ended. Collective West is limited and her narrative is in tatters because history has spoken. The role of Russia in this auspicious development is prominent and undeniable.

Conclusion

Appreciating Moscow’s pursuit of her sovereign national interest at times with tactical inconsistency and to the extent that Russia is an agent of stability and a genuine actor for true independence, evidence is overwhelming that her strategic patience and alternative narrative is a positive force-multiplier. There is no doubt that her internal policies and external strategies are forged through the lens of religious spirituality, long durée reading of history, followership of Jesus Christi and fidelity to pragmatism in global geopolitics. While enduring intergenerational condescension by the collective West, plus hubristic denial of Western origin and currency of atheistic communism, Russia is an anchor of an alternative life-giving narrative in sync with the global majority. Apparently, for now it defied the global elite and is pointing to a different approach among the comity of nations under God exuding the Spirit, mystery, divinity, authenticity, traditions and civilisations.
