Book - Spiritual Science by Steve Taylor

Summary

The intellectual climate crafted by powerful European interlocking forces that divorced the s/Spirit from human affairs is global while it consolidated in Western Europe and North America minus Mexico. A longer time line dates the divorce origin from the renaissance. It climaxed with Bolshevik communism in 1917, a disastrous experiment that collapsed under the weight of its contradictions after two generations in 1991. This failed a-s/Spiritual worldview/practice was inherited and transformed by Western European & North American elite upon which they currently wax lyrical with innumerable problematic policies and local/global implications.

The author has inserted a critical refreshment on the place of (liberating) spirituality not just by boldly restating the inalienable and foundational position of the s/Spirit as a reality upon which better science should thrive on but by equally asserting the powerful explanatory role of non-religious/non-believing experiences.

Contrary to the usual binary oppositions between religious conclusions and anti-religious arguments, here the non-religious voice confirms (the religious view of) the verifiable existence and rich beneficial operations of the s/Spirit in human affairs testified by select testimonies from Western Europe and North America in line with wisdom/religious traditions and indigenous cultures around the world.

The book is an insightful combination of testimonies, rich scientific reviews and grounded intellectual displays situated in the integration knowledge tradition.

Life is beautiful!
